Misbah Khar meets Ambassador of Azerbaijan

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Chairman, Senate of Pakistan, Misbah Khar, on Thursday, called on Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad.
During the cordial meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and explored avenues for further enhancing bilateral cooperation in parliamentary engagement, trade, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, said a news release issued by the Senate Secretariat.
The Advisor conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its historic and strategic partnership with Azerbaijan.
She appreciated the unwavering support extended by Azerbaijan to Pakistan on regional and international issues of mutual concern, emphasizing that the friendship between the two nations is founded on mutual trust, shared values, and common aspirations for peace and prosperity. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov highlighted the excellent trajectory of Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations and reiterated his country’s desire to further expand cooperation in diverse sectors. He noted that the leadership of both countries attaches great importance to enhancing bilateral engagement and fostering closer ties between their respective peoples.
On the occasion, Tarana Farhadova, spouse of the Ambassador, presented her book reflecting the family’s experiences in Pakistan, capturing the country’s rich cultural heritage, warm hospitality, traditions, and the enduring values of its people.
The publication offers heartfelt observations on Pakistan’s social fabric and highlights the deep affection developed during their stay in the country.
Receiving the book, Misbah Khar highly appreciated the thoughtful gesture, describing it as a meaningful token of love, affection, and respect for the people of Pakistan.
She remarked that such literary contributions play an important role in strengthening cultural understanding and promoting goodwill between nations. She further stated that the positive reflections contained in the book would help project Pakistan’s true image to the international community while reinforcing the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the shared commitment to further deepen bilateral relations and promote greater collaboration through parliamentary diplomacy, cultural exchanges, and sustained people-to-people contacts.
