ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has launched the “Be Our Eyes” campaign to promote public participation in ensuring compliance with traffic laws and making travel safer on national highways and motorways.
Under the initiative, citizens can promptly report traffic violations witnessed during their journey, particularly overloading in public service vehicles, overcharging of fares, dangerous or reckless driving and other violations.
According to the NHMP, the complaint registration process has been made simple and convenient. Citizens can scan the QR code displayed on Motorway Police stickers affixed to public transport vehicles through their mobile phones and access the relevant platform to lodge complaints.
The NHMP said timely and responsible reporting by citizens could play an important role in preventing traffic violations, reducing road accidents and protecting precious human lives.
The Motorway Police urged citizens to become part of the “Be Our Eyes” campaign and report traffic violations promptly to help ensure safer travel, an improved traffic system and effective enforcement of traffic laws on highways.
