BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday visited the residence of Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar and his brother Malik Munir Iqbal Channar here to offer condolences on the passing of their father, veteran politician and Member of the National Assembly Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar.
During the visit, the prime minister met with the bereaved family members and offered Fateha for the departed soul, praying for the elevation of his ranks in paradise and for strength to the family to bear the loss.
He paid rich tributes to late Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, highlighting his invaluable services as an MNA and former provincial minister dedicated to public welfare, besides appreciating his steadfast loyalty and notable political role within the party.
The prime minister was accompanied by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, and members of the National and Punjab assemblies from Bahawalpur. –Agencies
