President Zardari pays tribute to police personnel martyred for peace and security

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari paid heartfelt tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who embraced martyrdom for the sake of peace and security of the homeland.
In a message on Police Martyrs Day (4th August 2026), he said, “Their exemplary courage, firm dedication and ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation will always inspire pride and command the deepest respect of every citizen of Pakistan.”
He said, “Our police force remains at the front lines in fight against crime, terrorism and violent extremism.” “Displaying sound tactical skills during targetted operations, they have proven their professional excellence towards disruption of criminal and extremist networks,” he continued.
He said, “It is profoundly heartening to witness their unwavering commitment and invaluable sacrifices for protecting innocent lives, upholding the rule of law and ensuring domestic peace and security.”
He said, “Today I must acknowledge with highest degree of appreciation,  the demonstration of valour, and the countless sacrifices rendered by our police personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.” “Their agile, swift and decisively successful response during encounters with terrorists and their foreign hostile abettors is highly commendable,” he added.
The President said, “Today, we salute the  patience and resilience of the families of our martyrs, whose sacrifices are held in high esteem by the entire nation. These honorable families’ welfare and their socio-economic support is our collective responsibility,” he remarked.
He said, “Today, we also reaffirm our resolve to further strengthen and better equip our police institutions by enhanced training, application of modern technology and enabling them to perform their duties with efficiency, confidence and honour.”
He said, “On this day, I also pay rich tribute to the brave men and women of our police who continue to serve courageously and exercise high professional norms, without fearing their lives, in defence of our nation’s peace and security.”
“The police are a vital pillar of our social fabric, serving not only as guardians of law and order but also as protectors of community trust and cohesion. Their service provides the stability upon which families, businesses and institutions thrive.”
“In honouring their sacrifices, we recognise that a secure and just environment is the foundation of collective progress. We express deep gratitude to our police force whose selfless devotion has been pivotal in securing a safe future for the people of Pakistan,” he concluded.
