President, PM pay tribute to security forces for successful operations against terrorists in KP

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to the security forces for successfully carrying out intelligence-based operations against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The president and the prime minister commended the professionalism and operational expertise of the security forces following the killing of four terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij backed by India  in separate operations conducted in Dera Ismail Khan and Mohmand districts.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the effective action against terrorists and reiterated that operations by security forces and law-enforcement agencies would continue until the complete eradication of terrorism from the country.
He said the nation highly valued the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and security institutions in safeguarding Pakistan’s peace and security.
The prime minister emphasized that every conspiracy against Pakistan’s peace, stability and security would be defeated, adding that there was no place in the country for terrorists and their facilitators.
He said the government and security institutions remained fully committed to eliminating terrorism under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” initiative.
President Asif Ali Zardari also lauded the courage and professional competence of the security forces, stating that thwarting all conspiracies against Pakistan’s peace and stability remained a top national priority.
The president reaffirmed that operations under Azm-e-Istehkam would continue until terrorism was completely eliminated from Pakistan.
Both leaders expressed confidence in the capabilities of the country’s security forces and reiterated the nation’s unwavering support for the ongoing fight against terrorism.
