RAWALPINDI: Provincial Minister for Health, Punjab and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rafique, on Friday visited the residence of Head of Millat-e-Jafariya Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi and offered condolences on the demise of his wife.
During the meeting, the provincial minister prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased and expressed sympathy with the bereaved family.
Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engineer Amir Khattak and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema were also present on the occasion. They offered ‘Fatiha’ for the departed soul and prayed for the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
Talking to the media, Salman said Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi had always worked for the unity of Pakistan and the promotion of inter-Muslim harmony.
He said the law and order situation across Punjab remained peaceful during Eid-ul-Azha due to coordinated efforts by the administration and law enforcement agencies.
The minister said no signs of pollution could be seen anywhere in the province following the Eid sanitation operation.
“In the light of the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a clean environment was ensured throughout the province under the Suthra Punjab Programme,” he added. –Agencies
