ISLAMABAD: PS Tarnol has arrested two land grabbers involved in illegally occupation of a plot and recovered weapons and ammunition from them.
According to details, Asad Aabbas, resident of Sarai Mahdoo Tarnol lodged report at PS Tarnol that some armed persons were trying to occupy his plot forcibly and asked the police for action against them. Following this complaint, SP Saddar Zone Muhammad Sarfaraz Virk constituted a team for prompt action. The team including DSP Sajjad Haider Bukhari, PS Tarnol’s SHO Inspector Rasheed Ahmed, ASI Asif Raza along others, raided there and succeeded to arrest two alleged persons, involved in occupying the plot. Police team also recovered weapons and ammunition from them while further investigation is underway from the accused.
While reviewing the overall performance of all zones, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan said that land grabbing activities would not be tolerated and indiscriminate action would continue against those illegally occupying land of others. He asked that DIG Operations to monitor himself all policing action against land grabbers and ensure that no group make any new effort to disturb the people and harass them.
He directed to take prompt action on complaints of citizens and provide relief to them. Capital Cops’ Chief said that effective action should be ensured to protect lives and property of the citizens. He said that no sluggish attitude would be tolerated in this regard. The IGP asked police officials to accomplish all their responsibilities in a professional manner.
56 drug pushers booked, drugs’ cache, arms recovered
ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops arrested 56 drug pushers from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroin, cocaine, wine as well as weapons from their possession, here on Wednesday.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan ordered crackdown against criminal elements. Following these orders, DIG (Operations) has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city. PS Aabpara apprehended six accused namely Dansih, Waseem, Farhan, Danish Raza, Adeel and Tamses Pitras and recovered 120 liters alcohol wine from their possession. PS Secretariat busted three accused Noman, Wajid and Shakeel and recovered 255 gram hashish and 140 gram heroin from their possession while PS Bara Kaho caught four accused Khizar, Sharafat, Noman and Irfan and recovered 1.206 kilogram hashish from their possession.
PS Banigala nabbed accused Shahbaz Khan and recovered 10 liter wine from him. PS Margalla booked Prince Masaih and recovered 220 gram cocaine from him. PS Karachi Company busted three accused Bashrat Masih, Shan Masih and Aabbas and recovered 227 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
PS Golra apprehended three accused Rafique, Baber and Sarwer and recovered 1400 grams hashish and 125 gram heroin from their possession. PS Tarnol caught five accused Aamir Khan, Azmat Khan, Nadeem Abbas, Imran and Adnan and recovered a total of 570 gram heroin and 310 gram hashish from their possession. PS Shalimar nabbed two accused Waseem and Adnan and recovered 1180 grams heroin and 15 liter alcohol from their possession. PS Ramana booked five accused Hashim, Aqeel, Shoaib, Yasrab and Jaffar and recovered a total of 825 gram heroin and 280 gram hashish from their possession.
PS Industrial Area bused accused Saqib and recovered 1130 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. PS Sabzi Mandi booked four accused identified as Raees Khan, Shahzad Khan, Aamir Ghfoor and Qudrat and recovered a total of 960 gram hashish and 780 gram heroin from their possession. PS Noon booked accused Shah Gul and recovered 1040 gram hashish from him. Shams Colony police apprehended Malad and recovered 115 gram hashish from him. Homicide Unit arrested accused Shahzad and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while PS Nilore caught seven accused Tariq, Ejaz, Yasir, Shaukat, Chand, Asif and Ashraf and recovered a total of 624 gram heroin 10 liters alcohol from their possession. PS Sihala apprehended four accused Zia-Ur-Rehman, Saad, Mohsin Saleem and Sala-Ud-Din and recovered two pistols and 240 gram hashish from their possession.
PS Lohibher nabbed three accused Qaisar Mehmood, Faisal, and Shahzad and recovered 990 gram hashish from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further legal proceeding is underway against them. During special checking in the whole city, police nabbed one proclaimed offender.
DIG Operations Islamabad has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
