-Valuables worth Rs. 20m recovered

ISLAMABAD: Shalimar police team has arrested two members of a criminal gang and recovered looted items worth Rs. 20 million.
According to details, on 18th June 2021, some unknown dacoits broke into a house situated in Sector F-10/2, took the family hostage on gunpoint and took away valuables, a vehicle, heavy bike and other items.
Upon receiving the complaint, the local police immediately registered a case No. 194 U/S 392/411/354 PPC. SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer took the notice of the incident and directed SP Saddar Zone Amjad Farooq Butter to arrest the culprits and recover the looted items.
SP Saddar constituted a special police team under supervision of SDPO Ramna Khalid Mehmood Awan and headed by SHO Shalimar Arshad Ali and comprising ASI Asif Raza and other officials. The police team worked hard, used technical resources, traced and arrested two accused identified as Imad Ghani and Yousha. The police team also recovered one vehicle Range Rover, heavy bike, two laptops, precious watches, mobile phones, digital camera and other items worth Rs. 20 Million approximately. The police team also raided to arrest the co-accused but he fled away.
DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar and SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer have appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to ensure arrest of criminals at large and take effective policing measures in the city.
