11 accused held, 8 vehicles, valuables recovered

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police during massive crackdown against criminals arrested 11 outlaws.
According to the details, SSP Investigation assigned special task to the AVLC team to arrest those involved in car lifting and to recover the stolen vehicles.
Following the directions, Incharge AVLC Inspector Liaqat Ali along with other officials arrestwd two car lifters identified as Wirasat and Mohsin ali. Police team also recovered 08 vehicles. The accused used to steal Mehran, Corola and down model vehicles from different areas of the city. The vehicles were recovered from KPK and Punjab. Further Investigation is underway.
Furthermore, SP Saddar Tassawar Iqbal constituted special police teams in the area to arrest the criminal involved in street crime and looting people at gunpoint.
One of the Tarnol police team headed by SHO Tarnol Iqbal Gujjar and other police officials arrested three accused of a snatchers gang. Police ream also recovered mobile phones, cash and weapons along with ammunition.
The accused have confessed more than 15 snatching incidents in the area while further Investigation is underway.
Likewise, Khanna police team arrested two accused namely Waqas and Ghulam Rasool and recovered 2500 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol. Lohi Bher police recovered 1000 gram hashish from a drug peddler namely Zafrullah.
Similarly, Bhara Kahu police recovered 20 litres liqour from an accused Waseem Ahmad while Shehzad Town police arrested two accused namely Muhammad Kamran and Muhammad Saqib and recovered one 30 bore pistol and iron punch.
Cases against the nominated accused have been registered and further Investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated the police teams performance and further directed all zoanl SPs to intensify the crackdown in their respective areas.
