ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police apprehended nine criminals including six professional beggars along with their handler and recovered weapons with ammunition from their possession.
DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha had ordered all divisional police officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Following these directives, the Koral police arrested an accused namely Rana Akeel and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Likewise, Aabpara police arrested an accused namely Salman khan and recovered one 9mm pistol along with ammunition from his possession.
Similarly, Industrial Area police arrested an accused namely Ahmed and recovered a 9mm pistol from his possession, while a police team also arrested six professional beggars and their handler.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
The DIG Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha said that the safety of lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
