Cop shoots dead colleague over flat dispute

ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police personnel shot dead his colleague over a flat dispute in Sector G-6 on Thursday. Asim shot dead his fellow policeman Bakht Munir during a fight over their accommodation. On receiving the news, a police team reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to Polyclinic Hospital for postmortem.
As par the details, both policemen were having an issue over the flat and their dispute took an ugly turn when Asim opened fire Bakht and killed him on the spot.

Six Afghan nationals held for involvement in dacoities

ISLAMABAD: PS Shahzad Town Police on Tuesday arrested six Afghan nationals for their alleged involvement in dacoities and recovered cash, artificial jewelry, mobile phones and weapons from their possession.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan had ordered crackdown against criminals, especially involved in street crimes. Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city and no laxity would be tolerated in this regard.
Following these directions, SP Rural Farooq Amjad Butar constituted special team under supervision of ASP Usman Tipu including SHO Shahzad Town Police Station Sub-Inspector Tipu sultan , ASIs Muhammad Noman, Aamad Shah, Fayyaz Akber, Muhammad Ishfaq, Iftakhir Ahmed, Head constables Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Akhtar, Muhammad Imran, Wajid, Khadam Hussain, Mumtaz Ahmed, along with other officials.
The team nabbed six Afghan nationals allegedly involved in dacoities. The crooks were identified as
Rooh-Ullah s/o Mirza resident of Afghanistan,Shahzad Mateen s/o Abdul Mateen resident of Chack Shahzad Islamabad, Hakmat-Ullah s/o Hayat-Ullah resident of Afghanistan, Farhad s/o Fazal resident of Mingora Swat, Shahid-Ullah s/o Murad Khan resident of Afghanistan and Irshad Khan s/o Raheem shah resident of Afghanistan
Police team also recovered Cash, artificial Jewelry, mobile and four pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation have confessed their involvement in several criminal and snatching incidents in the various area of twin cities. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar Ud Din Syed have appreciated overall performance of Tarnol Police and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for policemen who arrested these gangsters.
