ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Sabzi Mandi police team apprehended four members of bike snatchers gang involved in series of gun point snatching and recovered stolen bikes and weapons.
IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan had categorically ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people .
Following these directives, a police team of PS Sabzi Mandi under the supervision of SHO Sabzi Mandi Syed Ishtiaq Hussain shah accelerated their efforts against criminals elements and used latest technology and human resources and arrested four members of a Nakir snatchers gang. The accused were identified as Naqir Ali S/o Shah Wali, Hafiz ullah S/o Awal Khan, Bilal S/o Muhammad Alam and Jahangir S/o Adam Khan. Police recovered 05 stolen bikes, 05 mobiles phones and weapons used in incident.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan have appreciated the police team performance and further directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminals. “The officers with good performance will be rewarded while the officers showing laxity towards their official duties will be dealt with iron hands”, he maintained.
22 outlaws caught, drugs & arms seized
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested 22 criminals including drug peddlers, liquor sellers and illegal weapon handlers from different areas of the city and recovered 420 gram heroin, 1870 gram hashish, 10 liters liquor and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
According to the details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, Islamabad police accelerated crackdown against criminal elements in order to reduce crime rate in the federal capital. In this regard special police teams from different police stations were formed to take stern action against those involved in anti social activities.
A Koral police team apprehended 07 accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons from different areas. The accused were identified as Asif Tufail, Naveed Faisal, Abid Ali, Babar, Shehbaz, Saif ul Haq and Iqbal Khan. Police recovered 310 gram heroin, 810 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession.
Similarly, Bhara Kahu and Noon police teams arrested two accused during snap checking namely Ziafat and Hiddayat and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. Likewise, Shehzad Town and Koral police teams arrested two accused namely Sultan and Syed Khawar for possessing illegal weapons and recovered two 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession.
Moreover, Ramna and Lohi Bher police teams arrested three accused namely Abdul Jabbar, Wajid Mehmood and Naveed Ahmed involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapon and recovered 110 gram heroin, 1060 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. Khana and Sihala police teams arrested two accused namely Muhammad Anees and Nouman and recovered one 32 bore revolver and 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Furthermore, Karachi Company and Golra police teams arrested two accused namely Asif who is allegedly involved in selling liquor and Waqas for possessing illegal weapon and recovered 10 liters liquor and one 30 bore pistol from their possession. Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Zaheer ud Din and recovered one SMG and Kalashnikov with ammunition from his possession.
Cases against all the nominated accused have been registered and further investigations are underway.
IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has appreciated this overall performance of the police teams and further ordered to intensify the crackdown. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he added.
