Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s ongoing household survey has expanded its database to 20,149 families, with 1,944 homes covered in the last 24 hours, as the district administration urged residents to cooperate with survey teams and use the mobile app for quick data submission.
Islamabad’s district administration has released its latest performance report on the citywide household survey, showing steady progress across urban and rural areas of the federal capital. The initiative aims to gather updated demographic information to support planning, security, and service delivery.
According to the report, survey teams collected data from 1,944 homes over the past 24 hours. This includes 1,905 houses where district field teams conducted door-to-door visits and 39 households that submitted their forms independently through the official mobile app.
The administration confirmed that the total number of families registered in the system has now reached 20,149. Officials said that daily field operations are continuing as teams move through assigned zones to verify household information and ensure complete coverage.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has appealed to residents to extend full cooperation to survey staff when they visit their homes. He emphasized that the data collection exercise is essential for improving city management and enhancing public safety.
The DC said that the household survey will help authorities understand population distribution, service needs, and local challenges. This information, he noted, will support decisions related to infrastructure, resource allocation, and emergency planning.
To make participation easier, the administration has enabled residents to upload their information from any location using their mobile phones. The DC said the app has been simplified to ensure quick data entry, helping citizens complete their submissions without difficulty.
Field teams are also trained to assist households that may need help filling out forms or verifying existing records. The DC said the administration is working to reduce delays and expand outreach so that every family in the capital is included in the database.
The report stated that daily monitoring is being carried out to track progress and adjust deployment of survey teams. Officials say that the goal is to reach all remaining houses in the coming days, with special attention to areas that may be difficult to access.
Residents have been reminded that the survey teams are authorized by the district administration and carry official identification. The DC encouraged citizens to welcome the teams and provide accurate information when approached.
The Deputy Commissioner once again urged residents to support the initiative. Whether through a visit from field teams or a quick submission via the mobile app, citizens are encouraged to complete the household survey and help build an accurate profile of Islamabad’s population.
