ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, met in his office with polio survivor, national and international weightlifting champion of Pakistan, gold medalist, first national record holder, and special person biker Mustafa Ali. On this occasion, AIG Establishment Shoaib Masood and other police officers were also present.
Mustafa Ali launched the Maarka-e-Haq Bunyān-ul-Marsūs National Ride from Karachi, Sindh. The purpose of this ride is to represent all persons with disabilities by traveling across the country on his special motorcycle and to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the martyrs. The IGP Islamabad appreciated and encouraged Mustafa Ali and also presented him with an honorary police shield.
Meanwhile, the IGP Islamabad held an open court at the Central Police Office, Islamabad, under the open-door policy. During the open court, the IGP Islamabad listened to the problems of citizens and police officers and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers for their resolution.
While giving directions to the officers, he stated that the merit-based and prompt resolution of citizens’ problems is their foremost priority. He added that any citizen facing an issue related to the police can attend the open court, and that his doors are always open to the public.
Acting on citizens’ complaints, the IGP Islamabad issued orders to the concerned officers to resolve the applications on merit within the specified timeframe and submit a report to the Central Police Office.
IGP Islamabad further stated that Islamabad Police is taking various steps to facilitate citizens. Holding open courts on a daily basis is helping to resolve issues on a priority basis.
