ISLAMABAD: Several important meetings were held at the Central Police Office, under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
The meetings were attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, DIG Security Muhammad Atique Tahir, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani, AIG Operations Shoaib Masood, along with SSPs, SPs, and other senior police officers.

During the meetings, the IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the overall law and order situation in the federal capital, the performance of the police force, and administrative affairs.
He directed all officers to further enhance and streamline administrative processes, strengthen internal discipline, and ensure the timely discharge of professional responsibilities. Declaring police welfare a top priority, the IGP Islamabad issued special instructions regarding the welfare of officers and personnel, including improvements in residential and medical facilities.
Furthermore, detailed discussions were held on improving the training system, increasing awareness of modern technology, enhancing professional skills, and implementing reform measures to align the police force with contemporary requirements. IGP Islamabad emphasized adopting the principles of modern policing. The meetings also reviewed the security of sensitive and important installations in the capital, checking at entry and exit points, and intelligence-based operations.
IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi clearly instructed all officers to further improve security arrangements, ensure the enforcement of law, and implement effective measures to prevent crime. He further directed that the protection of the lives and property of the public should be treated as the highest priority and that law enforcement should be carried out in an impartial and transparent manner. In addition to security arrangements, detailed discussions were held on Safe City projects, including the installation of modern cameras, improvement of monitoring systems, effective use of data, and strengthening coordination among various institutions.
He also issued clear instructions to all senior officers to further strengthen supervision of their subordinate force, ensure field presence, adopt a courteous and professional attitude towards the public, and ensure prompt redressal of complaints.
He reaffirmed the commitment that Islamabad Police will continue to fulfill its responsibilities as a modern, professional, and public-friendly police force, in order to further strengthen peace, rule of law, and public confidence in the federal capital.
