ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Tuesday foiled the attempt of smuggling ‘ice drugs’ worth millions of rupees from New Islamabad Airport to Qatar.
The ASF has arrested the passenger who wanted to travel to Qatar on QR-633 flight. ASF checked the luggage of the accused passenger where they found 6kg of ‘ice drugs’ worth millions of rupees. The ice drugs were hidden in a trolley bag.
ASF Spokesperson said that the accused has now been handed over to Anti-Narcotics forces (ANF) for further legal action.
Blind murder of cab driver unclued
ISLAMABAD: PS Koral traces blind murder case of a taxi driver and arrested three accused in this regard. The murderers attempted have admitted of snatching valuables at gunpoint from the murdered.
The police also recovered the mobile phone, and parts of the vehicle snatched by the accused from the victim. According to the details, brother of missing taxi driver Imran resident Jinnah Town, Koral had lodged a complaint with Koral police station that his brother, Irfan, a taxi driver was booked by some unidentified persons from the area of Koral Police station. These unidentified persons shot dead the driver in area of Rawat police station and sped away along with the snatched vehicle. The deceased was later identified as Irfan. DIG Operations Islamabad Afzaal Ahmed Kausar ordered to trace killers of Irfan. In the light of DIG Operations orders, SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer constituted a police team under the supervision of SP Rural Zone Rana Abdul Wahab, DSP Rukhsar Medhi including SHO Koral Police station and others from Homicide Unit. This team collected the evidence about the incident and managed to arrest three accused Noman Ali, Yasir and Azmat and recovered snatched mobile phone body parts of snatched vehicle and murder tool. Further investigation is underway from the them.
DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and SSP Operations Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.
