ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital territory police have busted a three member’s dacoit gang involved in numerous dacoity incidents in areas of Sabzi Mandi Islamabad.
According to the details, a police team of Sabzi Mandi police station by using latest technology and human resources arrested three members of a dacoits gang who were involved in numerous incidents of snatching, street crimes.
The accused were identified as Raja Zahoor, Muhammad Shafiq and Munair Ahmed.
Police has also recovered motorbike, three 30 bore pistols and dagger used in these dacoity incidents. During preliminary investigation the accused have confessed their involvement in dacoity incidents in the areas of Sabzi Mandi,. Cases have been registered in PS Sabzi Mandi and further investigation is underway from them.
DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he added.
