ISLAMABAD: DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya held a special meeting with ASPs posted in Islamabad Police as part of study sessions. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the working systems, performance, and institutional improvements of various departments of Islamabad Police. On this occasion, the officers were also given a comprehensive briefing on the modern Safe City Islamabad system, its working mechanism, surveillance procedures, and the facilities being provided to citizens. DG Safe City/DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya also held an important meeting with the contractor of the Safe City expansion project, during which various technical and administrative aspects of the project were reviewed in detail.
The meeting discussed further improvements and possible modifications in the ongoing construction work, while necessary directions were issued to the concerned authorities for the timely and early completion of the project. Furthermore, DG Safe City/ DIG Traffic also chaired an important meeting with DIG Security Rana Umar Farooq and Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the overall security situation in the federal capital, traffic management, public convenience, and the current as well as potential law and order situation in the city. It was agreed to adopt a coordinated and effective strategy to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow, effective monitoring of major highways, and the provision of safe and improved travel facilities for citizens.
He further stated that Islamabad Police is utilizing modern technology, coordinated strategies, and professional capabilities to ensure the protection of citizens lives and property, maintain smooth traffic flow, and preserve a peaceful environment in the federal capital.
