ISLAMABAD: A farewell ceremony was held in honour of draughtsman Head Constable Muhammed Ashfaq at police lines headquarters Islamabad, a police public relations officer said.
He said that, Assistant Director development Ali Zulqarnain graced the occasion as chief guest. While other senior police officials were also present on the occasion. The ceremony was held in recognition of the services of the retiring Head Constable.
Speaking at the occasion, the chief guest said that retirement is part of the service as the one who joins the service has to retire one day. He asked the serving police officials to do their best to earn respect for the department. He was of the view that public service only could earn a good name for the officials and the department.
He recognized the services rendered by HC Muhmmed Ashfaq and added that the department in return gave him respect and honour. He presented a police shield and flower bouquet to the retired police officer and also expressed best wishes for his future endeavors.
