ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended five outlaws from different areas and recovered a stolen vehicle, drugs and weapon with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Sabzi Mandi police team arrested two accused namely Alam Zaib and Shahid and recovered 250 grams heroin and 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possessions.
Likewise, the Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Faisal Baseer involved in vehicle lifting and recovered a stolen vehicle.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested 02 proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
