Seven booked, drugs & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops apprehended seven outlaws from different areas and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Phulgran police arrested an accused namely Waheed Ali and recovered 510 gram hashish from his possession. Likewise, the Banigala police team arrested an accused namely Abdul Samad involved in illegal gas cylinder filling.
Moreover, the Ramna police team arrested an accused namely Tahir Mehmood and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession. Tarnol police team arrested two accused namely Momin Khan and Abdul Samad and recovered two pistols from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. During a special crackdown against proclaimed offenders and court absconders police teams arrested two proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city.
IGP Islamabad directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling possessing illegal weapons. The performance of police officials in this regard would be reviewed on a continuous basis, he maintained.
