Two gangs busted, loot & arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops arrested two criminal gangs involved in robbery and street crime. Following orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas, crackdown against criminal elements is on full swing.
According to the details, following directions of SP City Kamran Aamir Khan a Bhara Kahu police team under supervision of DSP Hakim Khan headed by SHO Bhara Kahu alongwith other officials busted a criminal gang known as Raeesa gang using modern technology and human resources.
The accused of the gang were identified as Sarfraz s/o Tariq a resident of Gujjar Khan, Muhammad Ikram alias Kamu, a resident of Abbot Abad, Raees Khan alias Raeesa s/o Ghulam Sarwar Khan, a resident of Abbot Abad and Hafeez Gul s/o Sarfraz, a resident of Abbot Abad. Police have also recovered cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees; weapons used in crime and mobile phones. The gang was involved in numerous incidents of robberies and street crimes.
Moreover, following directions of SP Rural zone Zia Ud Din Ahmad, a police team of Koral police station under supervision of DSP Abid Ikram headed by SHO Koral and other arrested two accused namely Afaq Hussain and Sheraz. The accused were involved in numerous street crime incidents in different areas and used to snatch mobile phones and purses. Police team has also recovered a motorbike used in crime, 12 mobile phones and weapons. Further investigation is underway from all nabbed accused.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas has appreciated this overall performance of the officials and further directed all zonal officers to intensify the security in their respective areas. He emphasized that no stone would be unturned in the safety and security of the citizens.
