Two of criminal gang busted, arms recovered

ISLAMABAD: PS Kohsarteam apprehended two accused involved in looting citizens at gunpoint and recovered weapons used in crime from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Kohsar police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of an inter-provisional dacoit and theft gang. The accused were identified as Abdul Raheem and Muhammad Adnan.
The accused were involved in looting citizens at gunpoint. Police team also recovered weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to being involved in numerous criminal activities and injuring citizens by firing them on resistance.
The accused have previous criminal records also. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway. CPO/ DIG Operations Islamabad appreciated the performance of the police team and further directed to intensify the crackdown against such elements.
